Our Chef

 Executive Chef Yuri Gow

My passion for cooking began while working under the tutelage of Andy & Annie Whatley at The Village Café in Blowing Rock, NC.  From there I decided that in order to pursue my goals I needed to further my education.  After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in 2005 I was given the opportunity to study under Chef Eric Sayer’s at CQ’s.  After an educational 2 years with Chef Sayers as a mentor, I then moved to Antonio’s as Sous Chef under Chef Jonathan Hagins.  Focusing on bringing classic and contemporary flair to Antonio’s has been a goal of mine since day one.

Growing up on an organic sustainable farm gave me an appreciation for the simplicity of quality ingredients and a vision for molding them.  This appreciation to me is what Italian Cuisine is truly about in its purest form.  Simple, local, quality produce, meats, and seafood prepared expertly in a way that stirs past emotions and memories and creates them for the future.
